Looking around the dorm room, I scout for any left behind items that may have been missed. Nothing can be left because I won't be back to claim it.

The thought of never returning to Hogwarts is a little distressing. This castle has been my home for seven years and many memories, good and bad, have been shared here.

It used to just be me and the boys when we first started. We were so young and still didn't understand or like girls... well, not the way we like them now. But we finally came to our senses to see them for what they truly are- magic.

None of us were very talkative this morning at breakfast. Around the Great Hall, many students could be seen practicing incantations under her breath, rereading text books, and practicing harmless charms at the table. The other students looked as if they were trying their best to put the impending trepidation of failure out of the mind just long enough to swallow a few precious bites of nourishment before they encountered their doom.

That was one rough Transfigurations class. I don’t know how Ginny’s going to be able to make this one up. If I hadn’t been in there, there’s no way I’d be able to do it now.

I tell Colin and Vicky I’ll meet them in Charms. I left my essay on my night side table after I finished it late last night. After all that work I put into it, I’m not going to leave it and get penalized for it being late. I’d rather take a detention for being late to class.

I turn a corner a break neck speed and collide with a solid force. Probably a suit of armor. It lands with a thump, not a clanking noise a metal armor would make. I look up to see what I’ve collided with.

The room seems to be crackling with energy when I come down from the boys' dormitory. The party is in full swing and everyone is in high spirits. The liveliness and excitement is contagious.

All the team players seem to be surrounded by crowds all chattering at great speeds. The only players missing are Ginny, who should be in her room sleeping, Vicky, who is probably still cleaning up before coming down, and Daniel, who is probably off celebrating with his girlfriend.

After we all leave the Three Broomsticks, Vicky and I find ourselves alone after Harry and Ginny leaves for some alone time right before Luna and Colin disappear. I'm not sure where they have gone or how we missed their leaving. They didn't even say goodbye.

"Have you noticed how everyone seems to be in couples today?" I ask Vicky.

"That could be because Valentine's Day is this week," she responds perceptively.

It's been a long holiday this year.

I have never been so bored that I actually wished my dad or Wayne was around more often. Even if they were around, I doubt they'd be much help in my situation. They don't exactly have the same viewpoints of witches and women as I do.

This has been a very LONG week. Dating Arissa is nothing like I thought it would be. It's not that Arissa is a bad person. She's actually extremely smart and sweet. Plus she's still very pretty.

I awake to a horrible screeching that has been my daily wake up call throughout my entire time at Hogwarts. To an unsuspecting listener, Colin's singing in the shower could be called nothing short of a banshee cry.
